The Polonnaruwa–Batticaloa road is currently fully closed due to unstable ground conditions caused by ongoing severe weather.
Authorities have advised motorists to use train services as an alternative until a full safety inspection is completed and the road is declared safe for travel.
Please avoid the area and follow official updates for reopening times.
